Off-the-shelf assessment centre exercises: The Odyssey Series

Our off-the-shelf assessment centre exercises have been designed using the Odyssey approach, so that your participants are provided with an experience that they will find realistic, challenging and memorable.
The Odyssey concept
In order to fully engage your participants and create the right impact, our off-the-shelf assessment centre exercises are based on a scenario, which, like a story or journey, has a beginning, a middle and an end.
Like a journey or an adventure, events developed using the Odyssey approach evoke a range of human emotions and motivations. These vary depending on the purposes and nature of the event, but may include: challenge, passion, humour, success, surprise and learning.
What makes our exercises special?
- Our off-the-shelf exercises are based on one central business scenario that reflects the complexities people face in your organisation
- The wide range of exercises available enables you to choose the most relevant and realistic activities for your participants, no matter what your organisation's size or sector
- Each exercise is flexible and can be used either on its own or in conjunction with others
The central case study: New World Power
New World Power (NWP) is a multinational corporation embarking on a Public Relations project to rejuvenate a run-down part of London. The intended rejuvenation project involves a number of complex issues, ranging from building desirable new housing developments and business parks, to dealing with the community’s existing problems and social deprivation. Some exercises introduce the added dimension of the internal politics and influencing needed to ensure a project of this size is successful.
