Building new relationships

There is a buzz in the Criterion office today as we prepare for our 3 day exhibition slot at the Division of Occupational Psychology conference which starts tomorrow. We are really pleased that this is taking place in our home town, helping to contribute to our beach themed stand! Why are we going for a beach theme in the middle of winter??? Because this event will also mark the launch of our new online assessment product Criterion Online Assessment & Selection Technologies or Coast for short.
This is the first exhibition I have been involved in since working at Criterion and I’m really looking forward to meeting the delegates and chatting to them about Coast. Whilst I’m lucky enough to get involved in a lot of marketing activities as part of my role here, I have to say that the highlight for me is always getting to meet our partners and customers face-to-face. One of our priorities here at Criterion is building long lasting relationships with our clients so that we can work with them whenever they need assistance to make their organisations run more efficiently.
So what is the foundation of a good relationship? Trust.
And what is the best way to build trust? By demonstrating honesty and integrity from the start as you take time to truly understand one another.
And of course the best way to demonstrate this is in person!
So at the exhibition this week it will be great to meet with some of our peers and hopefully mark the beginning of a journey that will see us build some new and interesting professional relationships!
Now where are my flip flops………?
