The January post from Paiano
22/01/2010, Author: Luigi Paiano

So here we are nearly a month into 2010 and I finally get to writing this, my first blog of the year! Well, I blame the snow.
There… 27 words before it got mentioned – now it’s out of my system.
I aim to write one of these a month, so by July it should be an institution - with readers contacting me desperate for the next instalment…
Anyway, from February I will look to write (and/or invite your thoughts) on a range of topics that will pertain to what is happening in the business psychology world, as well as that of Criterion Partnership. What those topics will be are as yet undecided as I would like them to be relevant, but as you will see at the end of this post – I am open to requests!
For this month, I am simply inviting your thoughts to help me shape this monthly enterprise, so let’s start with blogging and the use of social media in general. It can become an industry all of its own can’t it? Questions I have include:
• What do people really want out of reading a blog?
• What makes people read, and more importantly, respond to them?
• Knowing which business or social network to go for…
• Knowing how far to go – how many is too many (when you have a day job)?
• Knowing where the very grey line between social and business networking online is to be drawn!
I would love to hear your thoughts on these questions to get us (well, me) started and, as mentioned earlier, do let me know if there is a specific topic that you would like my thoughts on!
Who will get me started?
Cheers… Luigi
