'Get a Grip' at The Dorchester in May
17/04/2007
If you're tearing your hair out because of the behaviour of your customers or staff then you are not alone, and at The Dorchester on the 15th May you will find welcome respite. Here, 40 senior managers and directors from major UK organisations will meet for a 'management bullshit free' day of round table discussions, anecdote sharing and networking to help find sensible solutions to their common challenges.
The aim of the event is to use open, honest and blunt discussion between like-minded individuals from a broad range of large organisations to come up with some workable solutions for:
- Helping stressed out employees help themselves
- Dealing with aggression and violence in the workplace
- Ensuring that only people who are likely to behave and fit in are recruited
- Transforming the new generation of 'digital natives' and 'knowledge workers' into leaders
This is not a conference or seminar. The structure of the day and ever-changing seating will get you sharing views, experiences and solutions with as many people as possible.
Although the day is being organised by business psychologists we are not going to tell you the solutions, our role on the day will be to help you ask the right questions and then simply facilitate the discussions. We fully expect the best ideas will come from the guests, and we will document these and distribute them electronically after the event.
This is a not-for-profit event. The ticket price is £345 to cover costs, and any profits from the day itself will be donated to the carbon-offsetting charity 'Carbon Neutral'.
