Partner competencies in law firms

Alan Redman, a director of Criterion Partnership, presented a case study to the HR In Law group describing a competency definition project conducted with a major UK law firm. The case study focused on the stages that the project team implemented to develop a competency framework that defined progression from graduate to equity partner within the firm. The range of techniques adopted to gather intelligence from the partners, associates and trainees in the firm will be described along with the outcomes of the project.
