Select Group merger with Randstad creates mega HR Services Company

Personnel Today has reported that International recruitment companies Randstad and Vedior have merged, creating the world's second largest HR services company.
Select Group, which is a client of Criterion Partnership and the staffing arm of Vedio, will combine with Ranstad. The new company will operate under the Randstad brand, and continue to support its franchise business under the Select Appointments, Parkhouse Recruitment and Select Hospitality brands.
The newly-created Randstad UK will employ almost 1,000 people and secure jobs for about 20,000 temporary candidates per week and about 9,000 permanent positions every year.
Diane Martyn, former chief executive of Select Group, will be leading the new Randstad UK. She said: "I am very proud to lead our new company, and am looking forward to building for the future and shaping the business as we compete for growth and position in the UK marketplace."
